My husband and I have decided on a first name for our son, but we can't decide on a middle name. Which one do you think is better?

I have a David just turned 14, there are very few of them about! I'm not keen on Lawrence. I like the name Alexander but I think Matthew goes best. Are the names significant to you in some way?

I’d choose a middle name with a family connection. I regret not doing that with my own children. My son is Fergus James, but I wish I’d gone for Fergus Robert after my Dad.
