Thoughts on Carmen as a name in my country?

i think this name (Carmen) could be usable in my country when i have kids (i'm not yet). it seems to derive from the word in my language for VINEYARD or ORCHARD, and i love spanish names, as you all probably know, and this one is a current fave --- wdyt????????

I think it's a lovely name. Is it Spain you live in? It would certainly work in the UK as a pretty, rather exotic but not crazily out-there name.

I have one. Chose it for meaning 'song' and garden' and the opera. No Spanish family connection just always liked it. I wanted a name that would work in other countries and be easy to spell. Some people still manage to spell it Carman unbelievably.

I'm in UK and knew a Carmen years ago, she'll be about 60 now so its not unheard of.

I love it

Oh, you again. Is it for a fictional baby too?

I have a cousin Carmen who is in her 50s.
