Have a little boy due soon and struggling to decide on his name. His big sister is Alexandra. Based in the UK.

We settled on her name as like the regal vibes, potential nicknames, easily recognisable whilst being uncommon.

The list we have so far:

Laurence

Charles (like how both have unisex nickname)

Maxwell (Alex and Max)

Cedric

Edwin.. like Edward too.

We both love the name Frederick however feel its too popular as so many "Freddie's"

Any input or other suggestions much appreciated!

Well Alexandra is a very excellent name, strong and elegant (yes, I have one!)

You have good suggestions already, but my vote goes to Dominic. I also like Laurence, James, Edward and Thomas.

Nicholas and Alexandra... About as regal as you could get.

I have a Max and Alexandra. DS wishes we'd have chosen a longer version of his name!

I have a Laurence/ Laurie and it’s a fabulous name …he loves his name as well!
He is confident and successful but not a twat .
Alexandra and Laurence sound great together.
