Which of Leo, Mark, Jake or Daniel do you prefer?

Leo, Mark, Jake, Daniel. Which name do you think is better?

Leo

Too many middle aged Marks knocking about for that name to have a revival.

Jake/Jacob is fine. I don't personally like Daniel.

Daniel. A lovely classic name. It was on my list when I was choosing a name for my son. I’m not really a fan of Mark or Jake, though I do like Jacob. Leo is nice but extremely popular right now which would put me off.

I like Daniel.

Is it for a baby or a middle aged character in a story? I like a Biblical theme but they’re all sort of my age. I’m not sure they’ve come back around yet, except maybe Leo. If it’s for a character, Mark is my favourite.

I do really like Leo, but it's by far the most popular on your list (currently). I'm not sure if that would bother you? (It wouldn't me, if it was my favourite, but I know it really bothers some people).

Daniel is a handsome classic which suits all ages. Not overly popular right now, but still well in use.

Mark is a strong name but very dated right now for a baby. Most Marks are in their 30s-60s, currently.

I love the name Jacob but could never choose it as I really don't like the shortening Jake. So Jake is a no from me.

Out of those, I'd go for Leo or Daniel. It just depends whether popularity bothers you or not.

If you want your child to have an unusual name then go for Mark as I’ve never met a baby Mark although there are lots in their 40s. The other 3 are more common in this generation.

I like Jake and Leo best. Only one I'm not keen on is Mark. It's kinda old fashioned and reminds me of like a mark on your clothes, a bit of dirt!

Daniel is great - love it.

Loads of boys have the other 3 names. Mark is much more unusual. I also like Marcus.

Leo is very popular, Daniel and Mark were popular when i was young, 70's 80's. I think Jacob/Jake is best.

Mark is so underused these days but a lovely, simple, international name.

I like both Leo and Daniel but voted Leo. Jake is fine -unremarkable.

I have always disliked the name Mark, it's such a harsh sound.

Daniel as long as it’s not shortened to Dan
