Unique Nicknames for Henry?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

If you want a nickname you can literally call him anything. Sideboard. Flyboy. Hoola-Guy.

If you want a diminutive, then your choices are limited.

He can sound like he's a member of So Solid Crew if he likes - the possibilities are endless!

I knew a ‘Chip’ once. Or Hank maybe.

OP quite clearly misunderstood or misused the word 'nicknames'.

And all the people suggesting Hal or Hank or Harry are misunderstanding the word 'unique'.

Edited

I don't think you can get anything unique from Henry anyway.
It's a fairly short name so why the OP wants to make it shorter is baffling.

How are people getting Hank? Or Hal? Sounds like Halitosis (bad breath)!

Hank and Hal are fairly common American names short for Henry.
I believe it often was so you knew the difference between Henry, his son Henry Jr and his son Henry III 😁

Hank and Hal are fairly common American names short for Henry.

Hal for Henry/Harry dates at least from Shakespearean times - Prince Hal.
Hal is from Harry like Del is from Derek or Sal from Sarah.

Harry is an Anglicised pronunciation of the French Henri.

M 'my friends call me Night' Shyamalan (sure they do, buddy) would disagree that you can't pick your own nickname.
Dying over the hoover suggestions.

Helenbelena · 13/07/2026 16:16

Who wants to be called hen 🐓? I’m surprised that some people are suggesting it.

not in Scotland 😂

It was meant as a joke, excuse the spelling of Suckie, don't know why it ended up with a t on the end.

I just can't get passed the Henry hoover thing, with its daft grin.

So many other classic names that aren't hoovers or domestic appliances

our Hoover gets called Henners Benners.

As soon as I commented I realised that's where you were going!
