DH & I have both narrowed it down to 2 names each, and 2 names that we both kind of agree on, but would prefer our names. We have been completely deadlocked for months, so we have put it down to votes (from you, and also from family/friends). No idea of sex, first time it will be a surprise!!

Other childrens' names:
Noah Charlie
Isla Alice
Eleanor Catherine
Isaiah

My choices:
Girls - Auden or Antonia
Boys - Declan or Sebastian *Please note we don't particularly want another Old Testament name, but it's in the 'agree' pile

His choices:
Girls - Matilda or Clementine
Boys - Blake or Bailey

Agree (reluctantly)
Girls - Alexandra or Daisy
Boys - Micah or Levi

Like most of those - would (probably) plump for Daisy and Declan (but I love Sebastian and Clementine too).

Springflower · 22/06/2008 18:47

Antonia and Sebastian for me.

pointydog · 22/06/2008 18:56

Matilda and Declan

henrys7thwife · 22/06/2008 18:57

Cali, I like to honour W.H. Auden.

*would use it to honour WH Auden...I dont honour WH Auden in a variety of other ways like a devotee...

Cali - you're entitled to your opinion! I didn't have a problem with it as it's like Eden just with an 'Au' instead of 'E' and honours someone I like. But take your point (which is also consequently DH's point...)

OP posts:
sunshineonarainyday · 22/06/2008 19:08

Matilda
Sebastian

DoubleBluff · 22/06/2008 19:09

Eden is pretty. Auden sounds frumpy.

Nancy66 · 22/06/2008 19:13

I love:
Matilda, Clementine and Daisy for a girl.
for a boy I like Declan and Sebastian.

Really not keen on Micah and Blake and Bailey are very chav.

emiliadaniel · 22/06/2008 22:14

Alexandra.
Can't vote for a boy's name as I don't like any of them.

BigBadMouse · 22/06/2008 22:21

Matilda

Sebastian

Heated · 22/06/2008 22:24

I like your dh's choices for a girl, Matilda or Clementine are both lovely.

Avoid Auden however much you like the poet; she'll not thank you

And I like your handsome choice of Sebastian for a boy. Dh's ideas for a boy's name seem out of keeping with your other dcs' names.

Tinker · 22/06/2008 22:25

All girls names nice except Auden

Blake and Bailey are horrid

Declan - no opinion
Sebastian - like but hate Seb
Micah and Levi - like but worry that Levi sounds like (although know it is obviously biblical) a Harley type of name.

hunkermunker · 22/06/2008 22:53

If your surname is Aary, don't use Auden.

AbstractMouse · 22/06/2008 22:58

I like matilda and sebastian best, second choices would be alexandra and micah.

nooka · 22/06/2008 23:11

Looking at your other girls names, I think Matilda (but it does seem a very popular name at the moment) or possibly Daisy. I really like Micah, but think it might overdoo the OT theme, I also like Sebastian. I don't really understand Auden (great poet) as this is a surname surely? I would also assume it was a boys name, although I quite like the sound of it.

suedonim · 22/06/2008 23:48

For a girl, Alexandra or Antonia.

For a boy, Sebastian or maybe Micah. I know a Micah and tbh, it always sounds like Mike.
