I’m Elizabeth Anne and my daughter is Annie. Great names OP ;)

Everleigh13 · 07/05/2026 18:44

I like Anna (no nickname needed imo) or Libby

Greenknightsuccess · 07/05/2026 19:29

Anna Elizabeth is perfect.

mathanxiety · 07/05/2026 20:45

Anna

user2848502016 · 07/05/2026 20:46

Elizabeth/Libby

Norastroud · 07/05/2026 21:35

Id pick Elizabeth / Libby, I think Libby is such a lovely nickname - I prefer a longer name with lots of nickname options.
Anna is also a very pretty name.

Daffodilsinthespring · 07/05/2026 21:41

Elizabeth

RaraRachael · 07/05/2026 22:06

Elizabeth but no diminutive (Lizzie or Libby are not nicknames)

As a PP said, "Why is MN obsessed with "nicknames"

LulaLulaByeBye · 07/05/2026 22:14

Both lovely , I would go for Anna/ Annie

Giraffehaver · 07/05/2026 22:21

Annie

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 07/05/2026 23:09

They aren’t nicknames. They are a shortened version of the full name.

FortyFacedFuckers · 07/05/2026 23:10

Anna

Marcipex · 07/05/2026 23:56

Elizabeth.

Anna is okay but Annie is dismal,

SnozPoz · 08/05/2026 00:11

Elizabeth... Beth, Betty, Eliza, Liz, Lizzy, Lizbet Liza.... so many more variations.

JMSA · 08/05/2026 00:45

Hotdoughnut · 07/05/2026 07:33

Anna. But I dont get the obsession with nicknames. Just give them the name you want to call them :-)

Anna and this.

Handrearedmagpie · 08/05/2026 00:51

Anna but not Annie.
If Annie, then Elizabeth nn Libby.

Anne Elizabeth - "Anne E/ Annie"

Ohfudgeoff · 08/05/2026 00:56

Elizabeth.

I wouldn't shorten it.

KojaksLollipop · 08/05/2026 00:57

I like Eliza and would have loved it for Dd, but I didn’t think of it at the time. I do love Anna Elizabeth, so classic.

My 20yo DD has a good friend Libby and one of my good friends is Lizzie.

Purplewarrior · 08/05/2026 05:47

Anna

Peanutlicious · 08/05/2026 19:37

Annie

Firebird83 · 10/05/2026 16:50

Both lovely but I’m biased!

PumpkinsAndCoconuts · 10/05/2026 17:51

They’re both lovely!

I might be a little biased in favour of Anna so that one would get my vote. But Elizabeth is nice as well… wait until you meet her and try which one feels right / suits her better?

Zozoza · 10/05/2026 17:55

Elizabeth is actually quite beautiful but Liz is such an ugly nickname. It’s a personal choice but i chose a short name for a reason. I pretty much dislike all nicknames (Liz, Sam, Jo, Becky, Dave, Andy, Phil etc). What’s the point of a name if it just gets changed to something else.

MrsW9 · 10/05/2026 19:14

Anna, but I wouldn't use Annie as a nickname.

user1492757084 · 11/05/2026 13:38

Anna but I would ditch the nick name.
Eliza - also without a nick name.
