poshwellies - we shorten it, but we gave him the full version to give him the choice when he's old enough to decide for himself.

i think it's nice.
slight negative connotations with Toby Young, the rather bald and unattractive self-promoting writer - but who's heard of him really.

sounds like you've gone off the name now - maybe Tobias would work?

The only thing is, if they get into Thomas the Tank Engine, the engine Toby is in the intro song and it goes, "and then Toby, well let's say ... he's square!"
