Please do tell.

No. But have just been talking about the chances of finding a Linda, Pauline, Carol, Jackie, Graham, Martin, Neil etc - when will they be back on trend?! Sure it will happen - if Kate Moss had a Cheryl or a Malcolm...

Yes, know one currently aged about 2.5 He's very cute, the name suits him.

But "Dennis the Menace" is the instant nickname.

keevamum · 17/06/2008 22:10

Yes I know a Dennis and he's a little monkey...

retiredgoth · 17/06/2008 22:11

......no. Though Dennis is, I confess, one of my 9 year olds forenames.....

(he is, true to form, a menace)

....it was my Dad's name. However I am unsure if it was fashionable even in 1928.......

eenybeeny · 17/06/2008 22:12

I personally wouldnt name my child Dennis simply because of the menace thing. My cats middle name is Dennis though! Tis a pity about the menace thing I like the name. Its rather sweet.

Yep, there was a Dennis at nursery. Extremely cute, blond and full of life. Name really suited him.

pointydog · 17/06/2008 22:21

I quite like the name Dennis. Denny.

Brangelina · 17/06/2008 22:26

Neighbours at my old flat had a gorgeous then 4yo called Denis (with 1 n only). But they were Albanian, and their choice for their 2nd DC had she been a boy was Brian.....

Amapoleon · 17/06/2008 22:28

I know of one but he was Turkish, I assume it is spelt differently.

tortoiseSHELL · 17/06/2008 22:29

There's a Dennis in dd's reception class.

Brangelina · 17/06/2008 22:34

Yes, lots of Denises in turkey, or so it seemed, but they were older.

lollyheart · 18/06/2008 10:27

i like Dennis it crossed my mind whilst watching big brother last night

LadyThompson · 18/06/2008 10:41

Don't know any little ones but know a copper called that. He's 39. Good name, I reckon, but definitely Dennis rather than Denis, which makes me think of Denis Thatcher. It also looks less masculine than Dennis, somehow. And reminds me of Penis (sorry!)

I think Den is nice

wotulookinat · 18/06/2008 19:03

Yes, my son is called Dennis. He's 19 months old - and Knickers ir right, it does suit him! Some days I do wish we had named him Anthony, which was our second choice!!!

Marina · 18/06/2008 19:04

We know a Denis, not British. It suits him well. He is eight

wotulookinat · 18/06/2008 19:15

We named our Dennis after a naughty little boy we saw in Ikea called Dennis when I was pregant. I blame the hormones.
