CountessDracula · 12/06/2008 13:12

Is this a joke?

Are you thinking of crap shop names?

How about Greggs
or Primark

pagwatch · 12/06/2008 13:12

Sainsbury?
Debenham?
Mark?
Spencer?

endymion · 12/06/2008 13:12

Makes me think of cheap jewellery a la Gerald Ratner.

Or a rat.

Spar - well it's a shop, isn't it?

claricebeansmum · 12/06/2008 13:13

Why do they both have cheap shop connotations? Sorry but Ratner reminds me of Gerald Ratner and Spar in a convenience store

EffiePerine · 12/06/2008 13:13

Poundstretcher is a lovely name for a girl

MsDemeanor · 12/06/2008 13:13

Etam is nice.

Or what about Oxfam?

WanderingTrolley · 12/06/2008 13:14

All these names are crap. You are a mner. Call him Boden.

LucyLamb · 12/06/2008 13:14

Noooooooo !!! ratner will always be synonymous with crap after that awful jeweller man said his Ratner jewellery was crap !! you can't do it to a child - no way !!

Spar is also a shop by the way !

You need to look at that bay name book again - I think you must be looking at a list of high street retailers by mistake !

GeoffWode · 12/06/2008 13:14

for expat's benefit

How about Morrison.

CristinaTheAstonishing · 12/06/2008 13:15

Or Joules.

GeoffWode · 12/06/2008 13:15

WT - I met a Boden the other day!

Habbibu · 12/06/2008 13:15

No, no, you want modern names.

Like Amazon. Or Ocado.

wessexgirl · 12/06/2008 13:16

Argos is nice.

Or Lidl for a girl.

MsDemeanor · 12/06/2008 13:16

Mark and Spencer are nice names.

babster · 12/06/2008 13:16

Aldi has a continental ring to it

GeoffWode · 12/06/2008 13:16

And if you were a real MNer, I think you'd probably knit your own name acksherly.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 12/06/2008 13:16

ah cheap jewellers. You dont get many of those anymore. Have to rely on Elizabeth Dukes really....
