Our daughter's middle name (third child, other two are boys) is Elowen. I think it's the most beautiful name and have regretted not using it as her first name. I didn't want her to have the nickname Ellie but now I wish we'd have gone for it.

We are now very happy to be expecting baby number 4. I have a strong feeling it is also a girl. Can you help me to think of some names with a similar vibe? I love the soft and natural feel of the name Elowen.

Names we are considering:
Lowenna (also Cornish like Elowen)
Cecilia (I also love Cecily but DH isn't keen)
Delilah
Beatrice (although we mentioned this to my son and he immediately said, "That's a boy's name, it sounds like beer!" which has put me off!)

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Rowen. If we had a third and she was a girl this would be her name!

To me Willow has the most similar vibe, naturey and echoes the w and l sounds. Might be too common for you though.

Love Elowen

First thought was

Welsh vein, similar to cornish names although I know you haven't specifically stated thats what you want but suggestions anyway-

Arwen like others have suggested.

Alwyn or Elwyn

Bronya

Quite possibly not your cup of tea but had i been brave enough I could have gone for Zelda 😄

Elowen is Cornish not Welsh, @pambeesleyhalpert .

@FlutteryButterfly , Arwen isn't Welsh (it's from Lord of the Rings), Alwyn and Elwyn are men's names and not of Welsh origin. Bronya isn't Welsh, and unlike the other 3 isn't used as a Welsh name.

Use Elowen. It really won't matter, you only use your middle name when you're renewing a passport. I'm not actually sure if my 14 yo knows what his is
