I love the name Barbara. How about using it as her first name? If I had a girl to name she'd be Barbara

Lovely to name her after your Mum. I think anything not ending in another “ah” sound would flow best with Barbara - but based on fitting with your sons names (and tbh that Barbara is more a middle aged/older persons name now) I’d go for something more popular and modern sounding for the first name to complement. 2 syllables works especially well with the 3 syllables of Barbara - although obviously how the first name sounds with your surname is the most important thing.

First and middle names really don’t need to “go”. It’s something you obsess over when naming a child (and on baby name threads!) then almost never think of again. They are rarely spoken together, almost always just written - so even if they sound a bit awkward it doesn’t matter. Just use your favourite name.

Another vote for Barbara as a first name. It's a great name and I do think we're entering a period where baby girls will be given names like Barbara, Linda, Sheila etc. after much loved mums/nans.
