Got such a good response from you all for my prev post (thks) - think we've decided on Claudia.

Now need a middle name.......suggestions please.

We are considering Daisy but as it was up for our first name not sure if want the temptation to wish I'd used it as a first name - IUKWIM. Would rather just discount it completely.

Also like Rose - but is this now a very common mn?

Lucy is also an option and Kathryn..

Thanks

Sorry, all those suggestions for middle names are much nicer than Claudia...

DrNortherner · 02/06/2008 13:24

I like claudia Rose

Tutter · 02/06/2008 13:25

think asingle syllable name would work best

rose fine

would avoid names beginning with a vowel - would be hard to pronounce following the 'a' of claudia

Purlease · 02/06/2008 13:26

DDs middle name is Rose - obviously I really like it.

I think Louise sounds good with Claudia...

littlelamb · 02/06/2008 13:26

Eve?

sweetkitty · 02/06/2008 13:27

Claudia Rose sprang straight to my mind too

Claudia Mae
Claudia Grace
Claudia Erin
Claudia Kate
Claudia Alice

any family names you can think of?

Tutter · 02/06/2008 13:27

littlelamb, doesn't flow (see my thoughts below)

Tutter · 02/06/2008 13:27

yes, grace good

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 02/06/2008 13:28

I think Claudia is lovely. I'd go for one syllable in the middle - Rose is good, also Jane, May?

Purlease · 02/06/2008 13:28

Tutter - thoughts above the way I look at it

TheFallenMadonna · 02/06/2008 13:29

When I was younger, the standard middle names were Ann(e), Mary and Jane.

Now they seems to be May/Mae and Rose.

Claudia Rose is nice. And Claudia Mary actually...

Claudia Jean as a homage to the magnificent CJ in West Wing?

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 02/06/2008 13:29

Grace is very nice

sweetkitty · 02/06/2008 13:30

DD3 will have a 3 syllable first name so we have chosen Grace for a middle name (I think )

JulesJules · 02/06/2008 13:31

Agree Claudia Rose the best, or another single syllable name to follow the three syllable first name. IMO Claudia Daisy is too much of a mouthful and doesn't run together smoothly. Claudia Kathryn isn't too bad because the alliteration helps, but a shorter middle name would be best. [tries to think of other short names not beginning with a vowel]

minniedot · 02/06/2008 13:33

Genevieve?

Aero · 02/06/2008 13:35

I like Claudia Kathryn although also Rose sounds lovely too, but is used more commonly now.

Mary, Jane, Louise, May, Margaret, Elizabeth,Frances all work well too. Am liking Claudia Frances actually.

Claudia May is also good!
Claudia Jane OK.
Claudia Jade?

JulesJules · 02/06/2008 13:39

Claudia Jules

So obvious, why didn't I think of it before

lotspot · 02/06/2008 18:00

Claudia Grace and Claudia Jane both sprung to my mind

constancereader · 02/06/2008 18:01

another vote for Claudia Jane

Mamazon · 02/06/2008 18:03

Claudia Mae/May

also like Rose and DD's middle name is Grace so that's good too.

TwoFirTreesToday · 03/06/2008 17:30

Claudia Fay

Claudia Ann

Claudia Kate

HonoriaGlossop · 03/06/2008 18:14

agree with thefallenmadonna, that's so true about 'standard' middle names - everyone is using Mae, Rose and Grace. All lovely names though.

i think Daisy is too different from Claudia, the names don't 'go'

Claudia is a really lovely name BTW

I think Claudia Louise is the best of those on here

Anna8888 · 03/06/2008 18:21

Claudia Felicity
Claudia Penelope
Claudia Persephone
Claudia Bathsheba
