Jasper is too close to Jester

Randomly fa-fetched. Never have I made that connection. Lester - ok.

Jasper is a wasp here so I’ll pick the other one.

Elias shortens to El or Ellie which is so popular for girls

Jasper sounds so soft and feminine imo. Also Jas or Jazz is quite feminine

Came on to say the same! When I first moved here I was totally bemused when a girl ran screaming from the classroom shouting ‘ jasper!’

Like both but Jasper is more longer term name whereas Elias could be a shorter term trend, in case that makes a difference.
