There are a few names that dh and i like but nothing will love.

When ds is born will i look at him and say he looks like a toby for example?

I think you need to have a few names in mind, and see which he suits when he's born. We had a couple of choices when dd was born, but if we hadn't thought about it beforehand I don't think we would have been able to look at her and say "She looks like a [name]" - one of our choices just felt right for her.

With two of my babies I had a few names in mind and then chose one once I saw them. With the other two I had a few names in mind but they just didn't seem right and we ended up calling them names which I had never even considered before. It was almost as though they had names and it was my job to work out what they were!

We had a shortlist of 3 and chose once dd was born (although it was my favorite of the 3 so not sure how much choosing we actually did )

I'd already decided on Alexander when ds2 was born but when he was two days old I kept calling him Ben, he looked like a Ben, I'm used to his name now but it was close, very close to me suggesting we change our mind.
I think some babies just look like a certain name, others don't.
