How popular is Kit? Is it rising? I love it but don’t want DS to be one of 10 in his class in a few years time.

DD has a unisex but more masculine one syllable first name so looking for some ideas aside from Kit.

We also like Joss but DH isn’t too keen on all the S’s and grammatical errors afoot, nor the similarity to Josh.

More ideas and thoughts would be great. Thanks

I’ve got a 14yo Kit and know of a few others locally, but don’t hear it super often - four children aged between 11 and 21 across multiple schools in London. I absolutely love the name, but still snigger about the whole PE kit thing, especially as he’s massively into football 😂

*Edited to say he’s just Kit, not short for anything. I went off the whole Sunday name thing after my first two!

I know a Kitty, she often gets called Kit.

Kester

I known one and it makes me cringe. Seems like a NM to me.

I find it cringey too - Kit/Kitty and PE Kit

Chris is a much nicer name imo!

I love the name Kit, especially as a stand alone name
