DD goes by Ettie as a nickname, but it’s short for Greta. I also really like it as a shortening for Juliet or maybe Harriet. We’ve had lots of compliments on it and judging by the latest ONS stats it’s getting more popular, but I find it a bit insubstantial to use as a full name (it literally means ‘little’ or ‘diminutive’).

Of the others I quite like Elodie or Audrey. Suki is one I have earmarked for a future pet! Noelle is cute as a middle name for a Christmas baby but I wouldn’t use it as a first name personally. And Vivienne is a bit frilly for my taste (although I’d probably admire it on someone else’s DD). Gia nice in theory but I think it’s a bit odd to say in an English accent - the G is pronounced quite differently from Italian.
