Baby sister for Jacob

Thomo0111 · 24/07/2025 10:32

So far we have only managed to come up with two names that we agree could go on the maybe list…

Nora - this has family meaning
Eleanor

Any suggestions to help us grow a shortlist would be much appreciated!

Susannah

Your baby only needs one name, we only ever had one name we both liked for our girl, so we just used that!

(Many many discussions were had about middle name, but we eventually got there too)

Depending on how you pronounce Eleanor, Nora could work as a nn for it? The best of both worlds.

I know a Jacob and Freya sibling set!

just as a side note.. I am a teacher and this year my class contains an Ella, Bella, Eleanor, Eleanora and Ellie- May. Popular name, which is of course fine!

Agreed - Eleanor, nn Nora gives best of both. I also think Eleanor works well with Jacob in general, as both are similarly classic, popular names.

Imo anything classic sounding and preferably similarly Top 100 or Biblical works, so something like:

Sarah
Lydia
Hannah/Anna
Rachel
Jasmine
Elizabeth
Rose
Emily
Charlotte
Emma
Alice
Isabel
Lily
Julia
Grace
Abigail
Rebecca

Nice names.

What about Lenora or Leonora as an alternative?

Cavalierorwhat · 24/07/2025 23:49

Naomi

miniaturepixieonacid · 25/07/2025 01:40
