I've been thinking of calling my next daughter DeeDee, what do you think?

Really?

ElizabethBeresford · 22/05/2008 21:25

Absolutely love it. But then I like Bibi and Coco. I would prefer Didi spelt like this though. Deedee looks a bit laboured or long-drawn out.

Didi would be a reaally hard name to match a sister name with. What is your older daughter called can I ask??

Polly, Lois, Greta, Thea, Nancy, Leila, Sasha, Esme....... those are names I can see with Didi. But it's not one that goes with everything, so excuse my curiosity about your first dc's name.

For oldies like me, that brings back memories of Pan's People on Top of the Pops.

double D

ElizabethBeresford · 22/05/2008 21:27

I keep suggesting this tonight, but what about Cordelia with Didi for short?!

As much as I love didi there could be an argument for putting something more serious and conventional on the bc.

After Michelle Pfeiffer's less pretty, less successful sister?

ElizabethBeresford · 22/05/2008 21:28

Didi is younger and has children and has a cooler name though

ElizabethBeresford · 22/05/2008 21:30

Sorry, that must sound like I think that a woman has to have children. I didn't mean it like that, I mean, they both have very different things. Each probably envies the otehr a little at times!

brimfull · 22/05/2008 21:30

if it's a boy will you call it DS

mybabysinthegarden · 22/05/2008 21:31

Elizabeth, it's ok, it's just mn! Does Michelle Pfeiffer not have any kids then?

cosima · 22/05/2008 21:32

fin42 · 22/05/2008 21:37

I always liked the name Dee but didn't know if it was just a short form of something else. I think Deedee is lovely.

ElizabethBeresford · 22/05/2008 21:40

Weird joke. Didi is a very chic name. Just call your daughter something from the top ten then.

mybabysinthegarden · 22/05/2008 21:41

ooooohhhhhhhh

That's why I was trying to guide you towards something mroe sensible.

There is hardly a type of name that doesn't get discussed on this board though.

I do have a sense of humour, honestly but this one just went right over my head. About 2 miles over my head!
