I quite like it, as surname-names go.

Calvin Robinson

I know a Calvin and he is lovely he also has a twin brother Conrad the are both in their early 40’s now. So not an unusual name for me. However I feel if you like a name you shouldn’t be put off by other people likes or dislikes or opinions.
we all get used to a name regardless of what people think .

I like it. Very protestant, kind of stark and stern.

I like it!

I do still think of Calvinism when I think of it, and to be honest, it also sounds a bit geeky to me (a Eugene sort of name). Which is weird because nn Cal is the opposite- very cool sounding. Have you considered Scots/Irish Callan instead?

DS has a friend Calvin in his class and no-one thinks it's strange. His brothers have biblical names too, one is Elijah.

Sorry not biblical but Christian associations
