Hello! I’d like to know people’s opinion on the name ‘Frankie’ for a girl
we’re currently expecting twin girls and my husband is in love with the name - I’m also a fan, I just would like to know what people think as I’m worried of naming our daughter something either we or she will dislike later down the line

as it stands our current favourites are

Frankie & Ada
(Frankie Rose & Ada Rae)

Thankyou in advance and as always I’m open to any suggestions as naming twins is hard work!

for context we also have an Ellie, Isaac & Reuben

I'd go for Francesca and Adelaide, with Frankie and Ada for short.

Love this !

Dislike Frankie for a boy or girl. If I heard the name I’d think it was a boys name.

I’d go for Francesca or Frances, and Adeline or Adele, and then have the quirkier names as nicknames.

I assumed Frank is a boys name.

You need to call her Frances or Francesca and then shorten it. When she's an adult, she'll thank you.

Ada is awful IMO, and over-used.

I would have assumed Frankie was a boy, more so because Ada has a girl's name. As a shortening of Frances it is cute but give her a choice. Even as a child, she may wish she had a 'pretty' (feminine) name like her sister (Francesca is more obviously feminine though I like it less than Frances).

Also while I don't think twin names need to match, or be a set, by giving such different styles you'd be giving one the "spunky", hipster name (Frankie), while her sister has the more establishment name, with more solid positive (Lovelace) associations. You have to hope this matches their actual personalities or or could lead to unfair comparisons.
