following on from some other threads today, whats your favourite goddess name?!

Astoreth/Astarte/Ishtar - Philistine/Mesopotamian fertility goddess

Also Astrid, norse-ish but not sure if she's a goddess

Maya - Hindu
Athena

Ixchel (pronounced Ish-chel) - goddess of the moon, fertility, medicine
Ixtab (Ish-tab) - goddess of suicide. (hmm, maybe not)

Freya - Norse goddess of love and beauty

i like Calliope too

I know a Calliope who's called Bobbie for short

I love Tethys, sounds terrible at first but has somehow wormed its way in and I love it.

I would never inflict Arianrhod on a child but Arianne is a good one.

There are so many great goddess names, too bad gods are all Thoth, Thor, Vulcan and Woden.

Lachesis (one of the Fates, vamp heroine of a very obscure medieval romance).
