My Baby Names List 2025

My baby name opinions often get referred to as bland on here which surprised me at first! However I’ve learned to take it as a compliment with some of the names I see thrown round these days!
I’d love to hear your opinions and suggestions on my full list.

This is a list of names which I have been adding to and removing from since I first got an Apple ICloud account at about 13! Some of these names have been on my list for ten years now and I remember asking for opinions on them on Yahoo Answers back in the day!

I love choosing girl names and I would definitely say that I struggle with boys names a lot, if you have any suggestions with a similar vibe I would appreciate it.

I really love your girls middle names, but not your first names for girls. My favorites are Aurora, Evangeline and Rosalie.

Great list of boys names. From the girls, I only like Cassia and Lara, and possibly Elena if you spelled it Eleanor.

And Elena and Eleanor are different names! And I don’t particularly like Eleanor 🤣

I find it funny how different peoples opinions can be on names

I’d say your names are more “sweet spot” than bland. Heard of but not too common and hard to dislike!

Yes I agree! With my girl names particularly, I like names which are known / used, but not too popular that you know multiple babies with that name! Obviously with a few exceptions (Margot, Sophia)

Although in saying that, most of my boy names come from the top 30 🤣 I think that’s why I struggle with boy names!

Yes I really struggle with boy names!
Jude is actually a name which has been on my list since I was 13, but I have seen it go up in popularity in the last couple of years - annoyingly just when I’m having a baby!

I blame Jude Bellingham! 🤣

You may not mind ,but Ada is becoming very popular , I know of 4 born within the past 2 years ……it’s a lovely name

I guess, but Eleanor and Elena are two separate names.

The way I like is with the Elaine - ah pronunciation so it wouldn’t make sense to spell it Eleanor

Prefer your middle names for girls than the first names
For the boys - only like Joseph

I don’t like short or popular names but I wouldn’t describe them as bland, I think a lot of the names are pretty.

My favourites:

• Ada. I love it as a middle name.
• Arabella.
• Priya. Lovely name, wouldn’t use because no heritage.
• Evangeline. I love the middle names as first names!
• Lilian
• Genevieve. The ‘proper’ way.
• Cecilia. One of my favs.
• Luca. As a middle name.
• Roman. Also middle.

The only nice names on there are Cassia, Lara and Jasper. Ada is awful! Like a ninety year old retired school dinner lady. Margot looks like maggot.

Name preferences are subjective!

I understand my names aren’t to everyone’s taste but saying a name is awful ( a name that somebody on this platform may have / may have called their child) is rude and unnecessary!

You can express dislike without being rude, as all other posters previous to you have managed.
Kindness goes a long way, remember that :)
