A Brother for Raphael

Morning All!
I am due in a few weeks time, but I am still not settled on a baby name for DS2. DS1 is Raphael nn Raf or Raffey.

Names on our shortlist include:
Felix (my personal favourite)
Rupert (dh’s favourite)
Cassian / Casper / Caspar
Atticus
Sacha

Ds2’s middle name will likely be Jonathan.
Any thoughts or comments on the shortlist above, and and other suggestions with a similar feel?
Many friends have suggested Gabriel, but it’s a bit too Angel themed for us, and not a fan of nn Gabe.

Well, I'm biased but I have a Felix, and Raphael is my next favourite boy's name 😁 Others I like are:

Rowan
Rafferty (nn Rafa)

Rupert is nice. I actually know siblings with these names. The 2 ‘R’s go well together. I don’t really like any of your other choices though. I know you’ve ruled it out but I do love Gabriel/Gabe!

I really like Felix, Rupert and Casper. Not keen on Atticus or Sacha though.

What about Julian, Vincent, Lorenzo, Nathaniel, Jasper, Tobias

I think I like Felix the best. Rupert will be my second favorite.

What about Caspian? I don't think Rafferty from pp suggestion works.

Felix is a beautiful name, I’m not a fan of the others though and as for Rupert, it’s probably one of the most awful names in existence.

I love Raphael. I also love Gabriel, but can see why you want to avoid it.

Of your list I like Cassian (do you pronounce it Cassy-un or Cash-un?) and I love Sacha.

Raphael is a romantic name to me, whereas Rupert (even allowing for Campbell-Black) is a bit wet/stuffed shirt.

Felix is my favourite of your names. Or Casper.
Not keen on Atticus or Sacha.

I think we must have very similar taste in names! Rex was on my list when naming Raffey, but I’m glad we went with Raphael in the end.

DH really likes Maximus. I think it could be a hard name for a little boy to pull off. Like Thor or Hector, a lot to live up too, especially if you’re on the smaller side, like DH and DS1 are.

Yes, I think Rupert is cute for a little boy, but possibly too twee for a grown man. Our dog has an R name too, so it might all be a bit much!

How about Maximilian?

Raf and Cass together are v cool.

Felix is a wonderful name as is Raphael.

Love your names, I had most of these on my list when I was pregnant - Felix is my fav and I'm still sad I never had another little boy to call Felix! Other ones I liked:

I was going to say Cassian is my favourite but I don't think it flows with Jonathan as a middle name.

Friends of friends had a Raphael. Their other son was named Marius.

Of your choices I prefer Cassian.

I really dislike Rupert. It sounds almost comical to me, and i definitely wouldn't have two R names for brothers!
