Potentials we're considering at the moment

Niamh
Sadie
Charlotte
Cora
And possibly Paige

Please be kind, would like to hear people's thoughts but ideally don't want any of the names 'ruined' for me Smile

Cora or Charlotte goes with Phoebe.
Another classic name suggestion is Adeline or Beatrice.

Charlotte goes well with Imogen. I don’t like Sadie as I know several who are in their 79’s/80’s, they are Sarah shortenef to Sadie so it’s an old lady name for me.

How is Sadie a shortened version of Sarah?

OP Charlotte or Cora for the win. Niamh is a no-no, Sadie is okay, Paige is not great.

BettyBardMacDonald · 05/03/2025 20:37

My grandma born 1910 was Sarah but went by Sadie her entire 95 years.

unlikelywitch · 05/03/2025 22:25

Niamh - my favourite
Sadie - you’re not giving birth to an 80 year old
Charlotte - boring and overused
Cora - not keen
And possibly Paige - second favourite

Other suggestions -

Imogen and Elena
Imogen and Lucy
Imogen and Clara
Imogen and Sylvie
Imogen and Colette

Mandarinaduck · 05/03/2025 22:31

Cora is nice from that list to go with Imogen.

Other suggestions: Saskia, Tabitha, Margot

Similar to jack being a term for John. I know at least 6, all over 70 and all called Sarah but use Sadie day to day.

StayGoldAgain · 06/03/2025 01:20

I have an Imogen, her sister would have been Bridget if he hadn't have been a boy!

Triakne · 06/03/2025 01:33

Niamh is lovely and goes well with Imogen.
How about -
Nuala (pronounced Nula)
Eleanor
Hester
Bethan
Eliza
Clara

Stirabout · 06/03/2025 01:35

As Imogen comes from a very old Irish word for daughter I’d look up
Old Irish names if you want a similar background for both girls

Names like
Aisling
Cara
Orla
Niamh…..which is already one of your choices

Or maybe pick up the Shakespeare angle to link Imogen
so
Olivia
Beatrice
Rosalind
Viola

etc ………sometimes it helps to chose a name if you pick a link that interests you

Mudkipper · 06/03/2025 05:04

Another vote for Charlotte.

what about Ianthe, Phoebe or Alicia?

mathanxiety · 06/03/2025 05:14

Not Niamh or Paige, but any of the others would go well.

I like PPs' suggestions of Saskia, Margot, Tabitha, Harriet, Abigail, and Esther.

Suggestions:
Elspeth
Daphne
Flora
Edith
Lydia
Bridget
Iris
Rosalie
Juliet
Claudia
Bryony
Hermione
Miranda
Rosemary
Agatha

maddiemookins16mum · 06/03/2025 10:44

Lois

These were my three alternatives when I had my Imogen.

maddiemookins16mum · 06/03/2025 10:45

But, your choices are all great, I love Cora.

LoudPlumDog · 06/03/2025 12:27

Niamh, Charlotte and Cora are my favourites!

RogueFemale · 06/03/2025 22:49

Scarlett is far prettier than Charlotte
I'd hate hate to be called Cora or Paige
Never liked Sadie (sounds like sadist, sorry, I know it's a nn for Sarah)

How about Sibylla or Venetia?

Firsttimebabymummy · 07/03/2025 06:43

stopringingme · 05/03/2025 15:08

I only like Charlotte and Cora from your list.

How about
Hannah
Catherine
Bethany
Louisa
Rachel
Rebecca

Same here.

I think both sound beautiful with Imogen

Would also suggest Hannah

DuchessOfNarcissex · 07/03/2025 16:06

From your list, I'd pick Charlotte. The others have a different vibe.

I'd look at other Shakespearean names.

trinibrit · 07/03/2025 16:12

From your list, I like Charlotte.

My alternative suggestion: Imogen and Annika

Sleepnplay · 08/03/2025 09:20

From your list I like Sadie and Niamh the best. I agree Charlotte 'goes best', it's just not my favourite.

We have an Imogen, and we also liked

Felicity
Tabitha
Beatrix
Jasmine
Nina
Iona
Zara

RosesAndHellebores · 08/03/2025 09:26

We reduced our shortlist to Imogen and Alice.
