Love it!

I watch Eastenders, so I just think of the character!
I like the name.

I LOVE it. And the only Priya I know is a lovely person.

It’s beautiful. It’s quintessentially Hindu though. I can’t explain why but having a name with not matching backgrounds jars.

My husband is half Indian :)

Nice name means beloved. Known a priya for many years, also the name priyanka is a pretty name

It’s nice and I would assume Indian so that works! But if you say Priya Yates out loud it sort of merges into one word for me, I think it’s the ya and Ya at the start and end. It’s fine with a middle name but she won’t be using that daily.

Personally not a fan. Doesn’t work well with the middle name and surname and no obvious nickname. But that’s just my view!

The “ya-Ya” in Priya Yates wouldn’t work.

Priya with Yates does not work well, as the 'ya-ya' sounds just run together.

If she has some Indian heritage, it’s a stunner of a name imo (but I agree it might seem a bit incongruous otherwise).

I disagree that the sounds in Priya Yates don’t work - to me the “Yah” -“Yay” alliteration sounds makes it stand out, as it sounds more lyrical and memorable. Actually Yaya would make a very cute nn for a toddler!
