These are all very pretty my favourites are Marin Celeste, Marin Delphine and Marin Felicite 🤍

These are all lovely.
I'd avoid Celeste as it sounds a bit like the ship, the Marie Celeste (actually I'd also avoid Marie Claire)
I like Sidonie and Noemie the best.

Lovely names!
My favourites are Marin Charlotte, Marin Eulalie, Marin Sidonie, and Marin Giselle.

I agree that Marin Claire might sound a bit like Marie Claire, the magazine.

Delphine is a very pretty name, but Marin Delphine sounds like a very maritime name! (Which might be a good thing?)

Good luck!

Definitely not Marin Celeste, too close to Marie Celeste.

lots of pretty choices there.

my first thought before seeing your list was Marin Elise.

If you’re going for a French vibe wouldn’t it make more sense to go with Marine as a first name? Marin means (male) sailor in French

Bit Marine Le Pen, non??

NoraLuka · 10/02/2025 07:07

I’ve never heard Marin be used as a name in France only Marine but it’s common in other countries. Where will you be living with this name, OP? Some of them would work better in the UK than in France.

There are many French women called Marine who would want nothing to do with Le Pen! It’s a shame if a beautiful name is tainted by her.

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 10/02/2025 07:26

Marin Zelie

AuxArmesCitoyens · 10/02/2025 17:59

Marin is definitely a boy's name, as in Marin Marais. Marine is ok, though the Le Pen rhing would put me off personally, or Marina.

mugglewump · 10/02/2025 18:04

I have known German and Swedish Marins, but not French. As many have said here, the French would use Marine or Manon. A woman called Marin (sailor) might be found maron (funny/weird).

Joie - meaning ‘joy’ in French
