Hi hive mind
I asked a while back about sister names for Juliet.. turns out she’s a boy 😂
What are your thoughts on the following?
Love Edward (like the nn Teddy but is it now overdone? Not so sure about Ed/Eddie)
I love the nn Robbie but less sure about having a Robert
Nicholas (classic)
Frederick nn Freddie
Samuel (Sam)
Louis
Max

any others I should consider? Welcome thoughts!

I like all your names, maybe Robert last and not sure on Teddy unless he is a toddler.

Emanwenym · 06/02/2025 11:18

My first thought before opening the thread was Orlando. Sebastian a second.

Edward - will be Ed/Eddie, Ted/Teddy or the awful Ned.
Robbie - I like Robert, but you could use Robson or Robin
Nicholas (classic) - yes if you like Nick (I like it)
Frederick nn Freddie - ok but a bit too overused. Not keen on Fred
Samuel (Sam) - fine. i also like Samson
Louis - fine but Louie is awful
Max - fine

There's a little Edward in my DS nursery and it really suits him and is cute. Not keen on teddy.

Elliot?
Not sure on Nicholas. Maybe okay with Nicky as a nn when he's little?

OneCoralHare · 06/02/2025 13:16

I have a Juliet. She has a brother called Sam. I also like Lucas, David, Alexander (could be Alex or Xander) and Toby as names that go well with hers.

CoffeeBeansGalore · 06/02/2025 13:25

Samuel is nice. Not keen on Robert, Nicholas or Edward. The others are ok.
Fairly classical ones -
Peter
Henry
Rowan
Oscar
Oliver
Thomas
Caleb

Juliet and Victor? Bravo! An alpha set of names. Charlie, Oscar and Mike would do. Does the Baby Papa echo your thoughts? Maybe he's more interested in golf. Shall I foxtrot oscar?

ThatshallotBaby · 06/02/2025 19:10

Juliet is lovely. What about Francis, Benedict, Rufus, Rafael, Peter?

rach7979 · 06/02/2025 19:17

Juliet and

Hugo, Horacio, Maximilian, Lawrence, Sebastian, Noah, Fredrick, Dorian, Emmett, Xavier, Fabian, Gideon, Jospeh, Thomas, Vernon, Tobias, Percy,

cestlavielife · 06/02/2025 21:40

Romeo

Enough4me · 06/02/2025 21:43

Thomas
Robert
Benjamin

Moreteaandchocolate · 06/02/2025 21:46

I like all your ideas - Samuel, Max and Louis are personal favourites of mine.

I also love Toby, Benjamin, Thomas, Matthew, Elliott, Jonathan and Dominic.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 06/02/2025 21:46

David.
Christopher.
Patrick.

Nice, classic names that, like Juliet, won't date horribly and don't inspire ghastly nicknames

Chuchoter · 06/02/2025 21:50

Theodore.

orangeblosssom · 06/02/2025 22:10

Raphael

theduchessofspork · 07/02/2025 00:15

Juliet is so elegant

It goes beautifully with Nicholas (Nico?) which is very underused right now

I love Robert nn Robbie but it’s a less obvious match, if that bothers you.

Max is a bit overdone, but if you do go for it, I’d use a full version of the name to go with Juliet

Louis is a bit overdone and a bit wet (IMO)

Sam fine but a bit pedestrian

Frederick / Freddie and Edward have been done to death

Tobias
Alistair
Patrick
Dominic (Nico)
Laurence (Laurie)
Rufus
Rafe
Guy
Hugh
Cassian
Gabriel
Augustus
Atticus

might be others

RedOnyx · 07/02/2025 08:57

I like Nicholas and Frederick with Juliet.

Robin or Robson rather than Robert to get to the nickname Robbie? Or maybe Reuben at a stretch.
