Neither. Both sound like working class American names.

I know a 16yo called carson. Really suited him as a child and 100% does as a young man. Lovely name.

I keep thinking of Wee Willie Carson.

I don't like either. Carson is a surname and Franklin is a surname or an elderly man.

I hate both.
Some celebrity had Parker, then Carter.
Awful. As is Hudson.

Depends if you are married I suppose. Use your DH's surname if you're married, or your own surname if not.
