So we have definitively decided on the first name of Lilah for our upcoming little girl, and kind of know the vibe we want for the middle name but I feel like there must be so many names we're missing! So my challenge is as follows, if you lovely people could throw your ideas out there I would be very grateful (I appreciate it sounds like I'm giving you a riddle but there lies the challenge) 😂 here we go...!

One syllable (ideally but not essential)
Starting with a consonant but not "L"
Not ending in "A"
No "I" sounds (e.g. Skye)

To give you an idea, I like names like Wren, Jade, Rae, and I don't want a quintessentially English name like Grace, Rose, May etc, they're lovely but not what I'd choose. Really hoping someone has an idea for a slightly different sounding name that's not too out there! Any ideas welcome, thank you! ☺️

I strongly believe middle names should have a deeper meaning. Like a family connection, significance etc. Do you not have anything like this?

My eldest daughter's middle name is Hope, as we were told we'd never have children naturally and then along she came against all the odds. Our younger daughter's middle name is Alice, after her great grandmother who left us inheritance which we used for the IVF to have her.

I don't see the point in a middle name if you're just picking a random name. You technically don't need one.

Edited

I think your reasoning for middle names is lovely, and your journey to having two children is really amazing and inspirational.

However for me I don't feel the same and would like a middle name just so her name sounds complete, there aren't any particular names across our families that we feel are right for her name so even though it might seem to you like it's for the sake of it, it's what we're choosing to do. Everyone is different and not everyone feels the need to have a meaningful middle name for their child

Lilah Rae is lovely, unusual and meets all your requirements.
If your DH is worried about it sounding masculine, point out there was a female character in Star Wars called Rey, and there's a current pop singer called Raye (which is a lovely spelling btw).
