Fraser or Cole

These 2 names are the only 2 I have on my list for DS2. Really struggling this time round. Ive been through countless baby name lists and none jump out of me. So it's probably going to be between these 2, which do you prefer? Surname is Smith. DP also likes Sonny (which I think is ok on its own) but I think Sonny Smith just doesn't sound right, it sounds a bit like a cartoon character to me. Help, I'm running out of time!

Cole is awful and Fraser is nice.

hardchoice as 3 good names. I think I marginally prefer Cole with the surname but all 3 are great names.

It's absolutely a first name as well. Very common one in some parts.

Fraser. I don’t even like Cole as a middle name tbh. With a London accent it’s Cowl which is ugly.

@Globusmedia I'm fully aware of that but it is a surname before it's a first name.

Fraser Smith is best from your choices

Fraser is great. When I hear Cole I immediately think about Cole from Charmed (who turned out to be a demon, but was incredibly good looking 🤭). I think Fraser Cole Smith is a strong name...distinguished.

Please don't call your child Sonny! He will be an adult one day...it's a ridiculous name (even on a child!)

Fraser seems dated, I prefer Cole.

Cole Smith sounds better than Fraser Smith

I don't like Fraser although I know MN loves it. It sounds very surname-y to me, and a bit try-hard.

Cole is nice but I'd prefer Colin on the birth certificate. Colin Smith has a nice ring to it.

Cole by a mile
