I am worried in a few years there will be loads of them and it will really date, a bit like Sharon and Tracey

I am 43 and not French and my name is Amelie. Yes, I keep getting called Emily and I have to spell it all the time. By now I'm used to it, but as a child I often wished I had a different name. My parents thought it was pretty in 1968.......

I always thought that it was supposed to be pronounced 'Am-eeelie'.

It irks me a bit, like Caitlin..which is supposed to be Cat-Lin.

Oh well, I need to get out more
