Hi everyone,

we are looking for a boy’s name which would work in Hungarian, English and German 🙈 we have a double surname consisting of a Hungarian and English surname, and we live in Germany. DH loves Albert, but I am not totally sure, and would like to consider other options too.
We’d love the name to be exactly (or almost exactly) the same in all 3 languages, so some options we like in Hungarian won’t work: Simon (pronounced Shimon in Hungarian), Pàl (Hungarian for Paul) or Illés (Hungarian version of Elias).

I'm just trying to think of children I know with either German or Hungarian heritage. I have no idea if they would work in all 3 languages im afraid.

Thank you for all the suggestions! What do you think about Konrad? And does Albert really make people think of the piercing? I’d never heard of it before!

Also maybe Eduard? (pronounced Edward?)

Konrad would be fine, but is usually Conrad in English. Konrad is also used.
Edgar is better than Eduard (spelling), Benedict better than Benjamin (because of the j).
