Not sure what we're having yet but we know what boys names we like already: Theo, James, George, William (Will) and Leo are all in the running.

No idea about girls names though!

So far we like:

Lily
Rosalie
Zoe
Naomi
Cleo
Charlotte (nn Lottie)

Any other suggestions?

Not keen on other names ending - a or -ia and preferably short.

Tahlia is Ta-lee-uh

I’d say Lily and Charlotte are far too common and bland with Tahlia. However that’s just me. I do like Cleo and Naomi though.

Clio - the muse of history.

KirstenBlest · 17/10/2024 12:13

The list doesn't have anything with the same sort of vibe.

Lily - nice but has been popular for a long lime
Rosalie - not keen
Zoe - like
Naomi - not keen
Cleo - prefer Clio (greek muse)
Charlotte (nn Lottie) - nice but popular

I'd pick Clio or Zoe and I like both. Not favourites of mine but Clara and Claudia are popular on here, and might have the right vibe.

Of your choices Rosalie matches Tahlia best in style imo and is my fave. You also might like similar Coralie. Or other “ee” ending names like Bryony, Xanthe, Verity or Sylvie. If you like floral names you might also like Jessamine too?

I agree that Charlotte and Lily seem a bit commonplace compared to Tahlia, and your other choices aren’t really my cup of tea personally. Love William and James of your boys picks though! (as I like a classic and I don’t think it’s uncommon to have a more popular boys name than girls ones in sibsets).

I think that when you are saying Talia and …. it would sound better with a short name, either one or two syllables.
