Spunky / adventurous girls names

Help! I'm due in a few weeks and we have no girls names picked out.

DH doesn't like "granny" names, and I don't want a top 100 name, but we both seem to like bright names with an adventurous / spunky vibe. Kind of like Robyn, Max (nn for Maxine?), Beatrix, Joy, maybe even Kit (not sure what it would be a nn for though) - but none of these we LOVE enough to be the one. Any suggestions?!

Also not a fan of the "hippy" type names like Wren, Juniper etc.

Not even sure if my brief makes sense but really hoping for some fun suggestions :) TIA!

I was desperate to use Fenchurch (nn Fen) or Pembroke (nn Pem) but he was a boy not a girl.

Also maybe:
Andy (Andrea)
George (Georgina)
Zelda
Marla
Finch
Vim (Vimora)
Vie (Violet)

This or look at Greek or Roman Gods etc Hera

Eliza is another good one.

I have a friend called Kit. She’s awesome (Katherine).

I like Vivienne too, and Bobbie as others have suggested. (The elder sister in the Railway children was Bobbie)

This!!! “Spunk” means semen in the UK. I’m assuming the OP isn’t from the UK!!

The google definition says the word “spunky” also means “sexually attractive” in Australia 😂. It’s clearly not a word that translates well across the US, UK and Australia 😂.

Loonaandalf · 16/10/2024 22:21

What about an Irish name? As they are quite unusual and strong.

Fiadh
Ailbhe
Ailish
Sloane
Aisling

mitogoshigg · 16/10/2024 22:22

You can't beat Amelia for adventurous but I'm thinking you mean something else. Perhaps just opt for a 20th century name that's been a bit out of fashion. I know a baby Lisa and a baby Juiletta

mitogoshigg · 16/10/2024 22:24

And spunky meant something lively and perhaps quirky long before it had anything to do with semen

SleepPrettyDarling · 16/10/2024 22:25

Funny how many of the suggestions are androgynous (Freddie, Alex, Scout, Kit) rather than strongly female.

Pieceofpurplesky · 16/10/2024 22:32

Kitty
Scout
Nora
Eliza
