I don't like Callan, it sounds like Callum...or Alan. A lifetime of correcting people which I would find annoying.

On that basis, I'd go for Aidan.

sadeightiesthrowback · 12/10/2024 12:25

I love the name Joseph too; strong, masculine, timeless, goes really well with Callum.

sadeightiesthrowback · 12/10/2024 12:26

Ooop sorry, I meant Callan!

Babyboyno2 · 12/10/2024 12:40

@DancingWithTheDogs Thanks but I think most names can be mistaken really whether it’s spelling or mispronounced

Not really but whatever. You asked for opinions, I gave mine.

Babyboyno2 · 12/10/2024 12:55

@DancingWithTheDogs and that’s why I said “thanks” for your opinion but I was just saying there is a lot of names that may come across as another. As I also liked Ronan , but he would possibly get Rowan or Roman which is currently popular atm.

I know Callan may not be to everyone’s taste but was simply saying

Callan

EverythingIAm · 12/10/2024 13:21

Callan will be mixed up with Callum, you and your child will be forever correcting people. I prefer Aidan.

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · 12/10/2024 14:14

Prefer Callan and Callan Joseph sounds great

BootballJoy · 12/10/2024 14:20

I really like both names. Aidan would also be correcting the spelling (even on this thread a couple of people have spelt it Aiden), a lot of names get misspelt. I'd go for Callan if the bump feels like a Callan.

Ceebs85 · 12/10/2024 14:22

Callan, no competition

Babyboyno2 · 12/10/2024 14:34

Thanks everybody me pretty sure he will be Callan ❤️

Wonderful @Babyboyno2 !
Now you go put your feet up and relax, now that the name's sorted lol :)
All the very best to you!

Normallynumb · 12/10/2024 16:45

Callan Joseph is Gorgeous.
Job done!

Daffyyellow · 12/10/2024 16:58

Callan definitely! (But I am a NCIS LA fan!)
Aidan is good too, but not AS good.

AutumnalCosiness · 12/10/2024 18:14

Callan

Losingthewill2live · 12/10/2024 18:19

people might mix it up with Callum or Colm though.
Aidan is less hard to ‘mishear’

Why not just call all boys Bob, if that's the logic?

17caterpillars1mouse · 12/10/2024 19:31

I much prefer Aiden

rainbowstardrops · 12/10/2024 19:33

I really like Callan. Not so keen on Aiden

Malvala · 12/10/2024 19:36

Callan. “Callum?” Callan. “Alan?”

Go with Aidan. Much nicer and he’s far less likely to spend his life correcting people.

TriangleSquareFringe · 12/10/2024 19:39

Like both but another vote for Callan. I love Irish names.

Christmastinsel78 · 12/10/2024 19:47

Is it callan to rhyme with Alan or kay-lan as I've heard it pronounced both ways so unsure which is right.

orangeblosssom · 12/10/2024 19:57

Call an

Babyboyno2 · 12/10/2024 21:00

@Christmastinsel78 Cal-an
