I like Charlotte the best. Maybe you would like Amoret, Violet, Francesca, Maryelle...

Moreteaandchocolate · 10/10/2024 16:09

Charlotte is my favourite, if you don’t mind its popularity (or the nn Charlie).

Serena would be second - lovely name that’s familiar but not overused - the only downside (to me) is I prefer 3 syllable + names to have a nice, useable short version for everyday use - Reena maybe?

Arabella is a bit frilly for my taste, but it has the nice option of Bella for short.

i love charlotte but lot of people say this name is very boring.

i love charlotte but lot of people say this name is very boring.

I don't agree with them and I also love Charlotte and other more unusual names.

Strokethefurrywall · 10/10/2024 16:20

Serena

Deliberationdivinationdesperation · 10/10/2024 16:27

Charlotte is a classic so I don't think you can go wrong with it!

Serena is probably my second favourite but I prefer Selena/Celine as I like the L sound personally

Arabella is also nice but I think its a bit more trend driven, not that that's a bad thing.

AdaColeman · 10/10/2024 16:28

All those names are lovely.
I would choose Serena.

Charlotte is perennially popular and though Arabella isn't as popular itself, Bella, Belle etc are very popular.

shoopshoopdedoo · 10/10/2024 16:37

Charlotte is my favourite
Serena is nice too

I really don’t like Arabella at all! It seems very different from the other two. I find it too fussy and trendy

Atishooo · 10/10/2024 17:59

Serena.

I know sooo many Charlottes.

KirstenBlest · 10/10/2024 18:11

Charlotte. It's only 'boring' because it has been popular for a long time.
Serena - nice but despite knowing several, only one of them is actually Serena. The others are Sarina (form of Sarah) or Serina.
Arabella - too long. Will be Bella or Ella.

okayhescereal · 10/10/2024 18:14

Charlotte!

Reugny · 10/10/2024 18:16

Serena.

Then I know too many Charlottes and Arabellas.

OkPedro · 10/10/2024 18:19

I really like the name Seren.. Serena without the A
Ser in

KirstenBlest · 10/10/2024 19:30

Seren is popular but I don't like it, especially not said as Serrin.

bracemyselfagain · 10/10/2024 19:41

I had my 2nd baby in Jan this year; on the ward there were 2 baby Arabella's ...

MagicianMoth · 10/10/2024 19:59

Charlotte all the way
The others are so Sloaney

RainyJuly87 · 10/10/2024 20:09

Charlotte and Serena are gorgeous. Arabella is OK but prefer Annabelle.

Ellmau · 10/10/2024 20:09

Personally I like Serena the best but they're all nice.

If Charlotte is your favourite pick that.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 10/10/2024 20:13

Serena - sounds very elegant, timeless and is underused imo.

Charlotte is very classic and has cool namesakes but objectively doesn’t sound as pretty in many UK accents to me (“Shar -lut “) and Arabella, though pretty, is a bit trendy and frilly.

MeowCatPleaseMeowBack · 10/10/2024 20:16

Charlotte is lovely on its own and has lots of nice diminutives too. I don't like Serena and I think Arabella is too fussy. Isabella?

Geranen · 10/10/2024 20:16

Serena by a mile. I do love Charlotte though. Nothing against Arabella but I don't like it as much as the other two.

sadeightiesthrowback · 10/10/2024 20:17

I like all three names they're all very pretty.
But I chose Arabella just because there are so many Charlotte's and Serenas around.

Firsttimebabymummy · 10/10/2024 20:58

Serena and Charlotte are gorgeous. Slightly prefer Serena only as I know of a few recent Lotties which is getting popular

Dislike Arabella

OkPedro · 10/10/2024 20:58

KirstenBlest · 10/10/2024 19:30

Seren is popular but I don't like it, especially not said as Serrin.

How would you pronounce Seren?

Ellyanne · 10/10/2024 22:17

Serena is my favourite, then Arabella then Charlotte. I think Charlotte is far too common, in class they will need to say either the middle name of your daughter or label her Charlotte one or two, as I expect there will another with the exact same name.
