How would you pronounce Kenan?

Not pregnant yet but looking at baby names. How would you pronounce the name Kenan? I would pronounce it like Ken-un, DH would pronounce it Keen-un. We like it either way but just wondered what the most common pronunciation is.

I would assume Kee-nan like Kenan and Kel

Ken-an otherwise Keanan/Keanon would be the way I'd spell it for the way your DH pronounces it.

I would say Ken-Ann.

Kee-nan. Long vowel sound for the single consonant.

If you want Ken-Ann, you need to double the consonant for the short vowel sound- Kennan.

Looks like Kee-Nan is the popular pronunciation. I think I do prefer it pronounced this way actually.

My Turkish neighbour pronounces it as
Ken-an, this is the official pronunciation. Do you have Turkish heritage?

If you're going to use a name from another culture then do it justice by pronouncing it correctly.

My friend has called her daughter that and she pronounces it as "Ken-an"

It's in honour of her father
