Sibling for Magnolia nn Maggie

Hello!

We are due a brother or sister (don't know which) for Magnolia Joy, nn Maggie.

Would love any inspiration you could share!

Marigold and Magnolia sound a bit twee, plus the same first initial might cause confusion in later life. I like Nancy. Both boys names are nice.

I really like Nancy - it's traditionally a nn for Anne so I might make it short for Annabel/la or Annalisa or something - so she has a fancy full name like her sister.

I like Cleo a lot too.

Mary/Marigold is too close to Maggie/Magnolia - also would make me think of 'they called her Marigold and hoped she would')

Lula is grim - sorry - too close to Loo / a name for a small dog that pees alot - also so many Lara/Luna/Lyra/Leila/Lena/Lila/Lola names about

Magnolia and Cleo sounds great together, as does Maggie and Cleo.

Maggie and Nancy sounds like an old timey music act.
Maggie and Lula is a CBBC show waiting to happen.
Maggie and Mary is too matchy.
Maggie and Cleo is classy.

Both boys names are fine but really dull compared with Magnolia!

Magnolia is unusual but very beautiful. Of your shortlists for DC2 I think James for boy is lovely - very classic. I’m afraid I find the name Bruno quite comical though - although admittedly in RL I’ve only heard it on pets.

I’m not so keen on your girls list either - Cleo is nice enough but somehow seems a little short/nickname proof compared to her sisters name, although maybe that doesn’t matter.

Nancy is super trendy though and not my taste - similar thing for Lula (although Tallulah is not as bad and somehow works well with Magnolia).

Mary is fine but I wouldn’t go for another M name for a girl - and Marigold definitely too similar to Magnolia. If you want to go down the unusual flower link route then something like Jessamine (Maggie and Jessie?) ,Acacia (Maggie and Casey?), Rosalie, Linnea, Cassia etc would sound more distinct.
