I gather Noah is rather popular, but just how popular?
has it been in the top 10 for a long time? Do you personally know many?

I don’t know any but this is my first baby and I don’t know actually know that many children!

Thanks.

@BoleynMemories13

Noah is a lovely name. Everyone is different but, imo, it's far better to choose the number one name then some of the celeb wannabe ridiculous names you hear people opting for these days in a desperate attempt to be 'cool' or 'different'. I think some people forget they're naming a human being, rather than a pet.

Couldn't agree more

Noah is very popular, you may need to choose an unusual 2nd name.
Zark perhaps.

ThatsNotMyNumber · 25/08/2024 09:32

I have a Noah!

Hes the only one in his year at school, despite the popularity. We have more George’s and Oscar’s than anything else.

Noah is a nice name.
I like the story of Noah and the Ark.
I know two Noah's - ages about 10 and about two.

It reminds me of Moses, Zachary and Ezra.

KirstenBlest · 25/08/2024 12:13

If you love it, use it. If you have a common surname give him a strong middle name - not James or Jay or Zark.

It's popular for a reason, lots of people like it.
Boaz and Moab have a similar sound, if you want a Biblical name that's a bit unusual.

Pineapplecake23 · 25/08/2024 12:18

I really wanted Noah 😅 but my DH refused due to the popularity, so it's now his middle name.

..although the first name we picked we are bumping into more boys with the name then Noah 😂

Galoop · 25/08/2024 12:51

I like it, but Inot keen on names everyone else has (if top 10). In saying that, I only know of one. What about Noel or Joel?

KirstenBlest · 25/08/2024 13:01

@Pineapplecake23 , it's how it works. Oliver is meant to be extremely popular but I never meet any young ones. Most of my friends have a Jack or a Harry, but they are not babies any more.

@Galoop , Noel is awful

Somerandomerontheinternet · 25/08/2024 13:03

I love Noah. It’s a strong name and will stand up over time. North London here.

PumpkinScarf · 25/08/2024 13:38

I know 3 I don’t like it.

zingally · 27/08/2024 17:21

I can only think of one, and he's 10.

AmiablePedant · 27/08/2024 20:53

One can hardly say snarky things about 21st century popularity if a patriarch in the Bible with a rather smelly Ark has already laid claim to it! I think that train left a long time ago.
