Help with choosing baby boy name!

Good morning!

Our baby boy is due any day now, and still can't decide on his name. We already have 1 DD called Robyn.

Does anyone have any suggestions please for boys names? Or any opinions from our current list (most of which we both like but no names that we really love at the moment):

My first thoughts with Robyn were

Elijah or Jasper

Ooh, they are quite different to my usual choices but I like most of the names on your list. All pair nicely with Robyn, not that that matters. Faves are Brody, David, Owen, Marc, Oliver, Aaron, Cal.

Nice list! I think Brody, Lawrence and Cal / Callum go really well with Robyn. Other options - Zach, Sebastian, Jamie.

Finley/Finlay - too many different spellings. Finn is OK
Aaron - OK but I know many with different spellings (Aaran, Arran, Aron etc)
Aidan - nice but ruined by the Jayden/Kaydens
Scott - nice but dated
Lucas - too popular
Dominic - nice but I don't like Dom
Lawrence - OK but will be Larry or Laurie

Cole - no
Eli - eel-eye. No
Brody - don't like

You have a nice selection. On your list I think these are all particularly lovely

I copied your list, then deleted the names I don't like. It left me with the following:-

Finlay, Lucas and Jacob are my favourites.

Ethan, Evan and Elliot seem like they might fit your style?

I'm expecting a little boy in the next couple of weeks and we've chosen Joseph.

You could wait until he's born and see if one suits him better than the others.
We did that and DS ended up with a name we had never considered before , he's an adult now and has always really liked his name.

Lovely list of names! I don't think you can go wrong with any of those, but...

Joel is my favourite boy's name. I had two girls!

I also like Owen, Scott, Dominic, Lawrence, Jacob.
Less keen on Brody, Oliver, Lucas (reminds me of mucus, sorry!).
The others are fine.

I love Robyn

I’d go for Laurence nn Laurie (it’s usually spelt with a u as a first name)

Or Dominic, nn Nico

Or Marcus is also v nice (Marc with a c will be a PITA)

Jacob is good too

I like Owen but the two n endings and o sounds make it a bit too similar to Robin. Same for Aaron

I love this list. We have the same taste.

I'd go for Finlay personally...

Owen is an underused classic and works very well with Robyn as a sibset imo - both fairly nickname proof style names with 2 syllables and similar sounds to link them, but without being too samey that they won’t be able to tell which one you are yelling up the stairs for!

Or if you like Robyn’s style and Owen’s sound, you might want to consider Rowan? Looks similar enough on paper to Robyn that it would make a very cute sibset but has a different enough sound so shouldn’t cause confusion. I Iove that they are both unisex nature names (and same initials don’t cause post issues for different sex siblings - I would know!)

Also perhaps consider Ivo? More uncommon than Robyn and most of your boys picks but it has the same nature links (means Yew Tree) and that “o” sound.

Lucas and Blake are lovely names.

I wanted Joel but DH vetoed it because he had a very good looking friend at school called Joel and said the name always made him feel irrationally grumpy!

@Asbusyasabee , How about Saul? it's underused but not unfamiliar.
