Alonzo and Lonnie for short??

Love the name Lonnie for a boy but think of it more as a nickname and if chosen would prefer to have Alonzo as his full name on the BC. Have a couple queries though; Alonzo or Alonso? (I'm leaning towards alonzo as it could also be shortened to lonzo/lonz if he wanted) and Lonnie, Lonny or Lonni? Not sure what would make the most sense. Thoughts?

I prefer Lonnie

I prefer Alonso (Spanish connection rather than Italian), just looks nicer to me.

Lonnie like Lonnie Donegan.

I love the name Lonny, I know both male and female with the name so would go with Lonny for a boy and Lonnie/Lonni for a girl but all spellings are fine! I would use it as a full name too rather than nickname to Alonzo unless you have ties to the origin of that name too

I prefer Alonzo from your ideas.

Or do you like Leon or Laurence with Lonny for short?

Catandsquirrel · 13/08/2024 07:56

Laurence is lovely too!

Leon is great, plus the NN and the BC version would have the same initial.
