Xanthe?

I heard it being called at playgroup last week and until then had only seen it written.

I liked it until I heard it said out loud.

(sorry to anyone with a DD called this!)

Very poncey

MrsBadger · 15/04/2008 14:15

Gloriously poncey.

a fab middle name as well if you decide to go for something plainer - nothing like a cool and exciting middle initial

josta · 15/04/2008 19:14

Sorry don't like it.

pootleflump · 15/04/2008 19:18

It's the name of Dominic Byrne's (from the Chris Moyles show) dd.

sweetkitty · 15/04/2008 19:19

I quite like it but how does it fit your surname sorry but I think Xanthe Smith for eg sounds a bit daft.

Niecie · 15/04/2008 19:23

I think it is pretty but you would probably be plagued by people who either couldn't say it or couldn't spell it.

LaDiDaDi · 15/04/2008 21:43

I really like it.

PussinWellies · 16/04/2008 11:25

I grew up on a road where there were sisters called Xanthe, Yolande (or maybe Yvonne? It was a long time ago!) and Zoe.
