Spike was cute although don't think it good choice of name.

Romeo - I would expect to be petite and swarthy with huge brown eyes - he was so not - he is going to be a 6'6" skinhead with a stupid name! - He had bad names for his siblings too!

There used to be a Sirius, a Dallas and a Blixa at my baby massage class. All boys.

Cute babies, but wasn't sure about any of the names. Dallas especially will sound lovely with a Leeds accent.

I have a friend named Spike. He has a cat called Dave. His mother named them both.

Very conventional - well not John or Peter or anything but nothing outlandish - or made up!

There was a woman in the post office in front of me today talking loudly about her son called Emerson.

So someone was a fan of South American football, or 70s prog rock.

I wanted to name our DS Spike but DP was not having it.

So I have named one of my guinea pigs Spike instead .

Twinkie1 · 14/04/2008 13:49

Better name for a Guinea Pig than a child - poor kid would never be taken seriously!!

Emerson seems to be on the up - I've seen a few people on here mention it. It's no different to Harrison really.
