I had a leopard gecko called Octavia it’s a bit too fussy for me as a name for a human, but if you like it then go for it!

Skoda Octavia. Also makes me think of Octopus.

We have 2 girls in our family called this too! (One from mine & hubby's side) so I think it is becoming more popular. Xx

It’s a lovely name. Those who are saying it is snobby or sounds like a car are really quite foolish.

It doesn't sound like a car. It is the name of a car model.

I don't mind it - I know one and her nn is Tavi, pronounced TAY-vee. I agree with a pp that Ophelia is nicer though.

It sounds quite harsh but it's elegant. Thinking Odette or Natasha as alternatives.
