Struggling to decide on a name for our daughter who is due in 6 weeks.
We have narrowed it down to:

Eloise
Eliza
Edie

Hoping some opinions will help us make a decision!

Love them all. Probably Edie but only by a slither!

CotswoldRose · 28/06/2024 12:12

Really like Eloise and Edie, not as keen on Eliza but that's just personal preference

whyhavetheygotsomany · 28/06/2024 12:37

Prefer elodie to your ones.

Fontainebleau007 · 28/06/2024 12:41

Edie

Theoldwoman · 28/06/2024 13:44

Eliza

Firsttimebabymummy · 28/06/2024 15:14

Edie is my vote!

Moreteaandchocolate · 28/06/2024 15:24

Eliza is my favourite - a nice combination of being traditional with a more modern-sounding twist! And the ones I know don’t tend to get shortened to Ellie (the Eloise I know is always called Ellie)

Normallynumb · 28/06/2024 15:37

Eloise

Nicebloomers · 28/06/2024 15:40

Eloise

shoopshoopdedoo · 28/06/2024 21:54

Love Edie
Like Eliza

Dislike Eloise

KirstenBlest · 28/06/2024 22:28

Eloise but not if she's going to be Ellie
Not keen on Eliza
Edie too close to the nicer but overused Evie

Pemba · 28/06/2024 22:34

Eloise and Eliza are both gorgeous. Probably I like Eloise just very slightly more.

Edie is OK, but really more of a diminutive than a proper name, probably for Edith (which still has a bit of a fusty vibe imo), :or Eden, which I quite like.

But yes Eloise or Eliza definitely.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 28/06/2024 22:42

Eliza - one of my favourite names

user1492757084 · 29/06/2024 15:16

All three are lovely.
My fave .. Eloise by a smidge.

Catopia · 29/06/2024 15:42

All lovely names. My favourite from them is Eloise, but see what fits. I think it's ok to go into the birth with 3 names in mind and try them all out and see what fits. When she gets here you may just know what the right answer is. Good luck with the birth OP.

cheapskatemum · 29/06/2024 16:52

Love Eloise, that's my favourite from the 3 you've listed. My second choice would be Edie, it's ok. I don't like Eliza as a name, even though I know a lovely 5yo Eliza.

AmelieTaylor · 29/06/2024 16:55

Out of those I'd pick Eloise, by a long way

but I prefer Elodie, but wouldn't choose any of them because I shorten names & dislike what I'd shorten them too.

StormingNorman · 29/06/2024 16:55

Eloise - beautiful
Eliza - Eliza Dolittle
Edie - faddy, will be half a dozen in her clas.

beachsandseaicecream · 29/06/2024 17:01

Eloise or Eliza.

sixtiesbaby88 · 29/06/2024 17:07

All nice! What about Aliza instead of Eliza? Just a bit different

KirstenBlest · 29/06/2024 17:13

but not in a good way

Aria999 · 29/06/2024 17:14

Don't like Eloise, I think partly because I am not sure how to pronounce it (Ell-WAAS or Ell-oo-EEZ

Like the other two though Eliza seems like it might be short for Elizabeth.

KirstenBlest · 29/06/2024 17:42

@Aria999 , it's ell-o-ees.

deeahgwitch · 29/06/2024 18:29

Eloise
I'm not keen on the other names.
Would you consider Elodie ?

Jemimapinotduck · 29/06/2024 18:39

Eloise x 2 (mine and my daughter's vote)
