Valentina and Santino?

Hola! We already have a 19 month old boy called Santino. We’re having a girl in September. My husband really really likes Valentina (I like it too and if Santino was a girl he would’ve been Valentina) but I’m scared that both names are too similar and we will just sound really stupid calling our children Santino and Valentina.
I know it only matters when they are little and you say them together a lot, however once they are older it’ll just be mostly themselves introducing their name, etc.

My problem is that I don’t really love another name to offer a counter proposal to my husband - thought about Francesca and he likes it too but his last name starts with an F so it’s a bit too effy.

Would it be horrible to have Valentina and Santino as siblings? (I’m Argentinian btw hence the names!)

I agree that the two tino/tina sounds detract from both.

I think they are fine, unless you plan on calling them Tino and Tina.

I don’t think they sound too similar, sure there are some similar sounds but not too

I knew a valentina once. Her parents called her Vale for short. Like.. Vah-lay. I thought it was lovely.

What about Valencia? I've met a handful of baby Valencia's and it's a pretty alternative.

Are you planning on calling them Tino and Tina ? If not then I think that it’s fine.

I understand what you mean, the tino and tina sounds jar a bit, but I wouldn’t worry about it. Valentina and Santino are beautiful names.

I actually think Tino and Tina make a cute pair of toddlers. But they also have names to grow up into.

Thank you for all the replies. We wouldn’t shorten either name, we haven’t Santino so he can decide when he goes to school, and if we ever do shorten Valentina, it would be Valen, so never tino and Tina.
