i was having a "she stole my baby name" conversation with a friend earlier. we both admitted to weeping when it happened to us (& neither of us were pregnant at the time she now is, & i have 2 children). at least both of us were tragic!

lol
I had it happen to me too, got so fed up settling on a girls name and then somebody saying "ooooh" and using it when they were further pg than me.
But now I settled on the first name that DH hadn't been sure about that I hadn't told anybody else about and I lurve it.

cunning . our (not)god-daughter has our name in question, & although we toyed with it for dd it was as a middle name & would actually been ok. but still....

Someone I know who I can't stand is having a boy and apparently is using my favourite name.
I was gutted when I heard and the stupidest part about it is I'm getting sterilised this year.
I'm such an idiot

A friend of mine's sister stole her (well known) baby name when they were both pg at the same time!) (basically out of spite, she's like that. Unfortunately sister was more so. The two little girls they ended up having have variations on the same name.
