Sorry for starting another thread, but I would like some opinions on the names Theo and Louis. What do you think of them?

I want a back up name in case the little man doesn't suit his name.

I like both. Dh wouldn't like either.

Do like Lewis a lot. Surprised so many people don't.

Love them! Both appeared on my list till DP vetoed. Theo was a shortened version of Theodore for us & Louis definitely a Loo-ee, NOT a Lewis (which is OK but v popular where I live). DP felt Louis was a bit of a baby name rather then suiting an adult and that Theodore was a bit poncey. I've stopped taking any notice of him - he'll just keep vetoing till the list consists of only his choices!

I really like Theo - a friend here has a really cute Theo - short for Theodore - he is a really smiley happy chap who loves making people laugh.

There are 2 Lewis in DS class of 6/7 yr olds.

Not keen on Louis. (But that is just me!)

Theo lovely

We obviously have the same taste because I love both names too and they will be on my list for next time.

louis - ok

theo - not really

Both are great, although I would go for Theodore not Theo.
