I like Ottilie the best
I don't like Clara in English speaking country because some are pronouncing it Clair-a which to me is super wrong
that said, some people pronounce Ottilie as Oddi-lya... how are you pronouncing it? I would still say Ottilie is my fave because I don't see any pronunciation of Ottilie as being more correct than others, while I don't agree with Clair-a pronunciation.

I would be honest and just go with Eloise if its still an option. Eloise only has one pronunciation AFAIK, and it's equally as pretty as your two options.
I would suggest Cordelia and Cecily, as well.

Choose Clara lovely name!

Personally, I already disliked the name Ottilie, but, once you’ve sat in a playground listening to several try hard mothers calling their daughters named Ottilie (which is v common here) my dislike turned to hate it’s a dreadful name

Einwegflasche · 16/05/2024 07:21

Arabella and Katarina?

(you can spell Katarina different ways, I just went phonetic)

There's a phrase where I live called heeby jeebies, so Hebe is a no for me. Sorry.

Things like beasties, old buildings, creep things cause us to have the heeby jeebies! 😬

Eloise is the nicest on your list by far. I don't like the others. You might end up with an Ella and Ellie though.

I adore the name Clara - also I think the two names work better together.

"Arabella and Ottilie" is a bit of a mouthful to say, and think of all the times they'll be called together.

Ottilie as a middle name would work really well though!

Sunflowers1999 · 16/05/2024 15:37

Another option is Alissia. Prefer this spelling to Alicia/Alyssia!

I like it but with Alyssia spelling (Alicia has pronounciation issues and alissia looks a bit odd).
prefer Alyssa though

I think Ottilie is a lovely name but agree with a previous poster that Arabella and Ottilie might be a mouthful. Lots of cute nicknames for Ottilie though. I like Clara too.
